Diane Lane (Narrator)

Diane’s been singing for money for almost 30 years. She’s done this at lots of places. She’s not tired of it yet. She’s especially not tired of doing Fortuna.

Diane's voice was praised as “…stunning, velvet-toned…” by The Wall Street Journal. Diane has performed for more than 30 years with opera companies such as Santa Fe Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Central City Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Opera Omaha, Des Moines Metro Opera, Lyric
Opera Cleveland, Toledo Opera, and Orlando Opera. She made her European debut at age 24 performing principal roles in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Le nozze di Figaro. Under the baton of Edo de Waart, she appeared as Fyodor in Boris Godunov with the Minnesota Orchestra and as
Wellgunde in Götterdämmerung at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam. Locally, she’s played roles in almost 25 Skylight Music Theatre shows and over ten Milwaukee Opera Theatre productions. Besides performing, Diane teaches singing at Concordia University Wisconsin and her private studio, and is a practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education.

Jonathan Stewart (Joe)

Jonathan couldn’t be happier to once again throw on his cape and return to Anyville. Countless thanks to Jason Powell for creating this role of a lifetime!

Jonathan was most recently seen in Skylight Music Theatre’s production of "La Cage aux Folles." Other Skylight appearances include "Sunday In The Park With George," "Adding Machine: A Musical," and "Irving Berlin's White Christmas." Favorite past roles include Mr. Ernest in "Pal Joey;" Rocky in "Damn Yankees;" Rudy in "The Christmas Schooner;" and Mr. Erlanson in "A Little Night Music." As always, much love to Bryce and Oscar.

Melissa Kelly Cardamone (Elizabeth)

Melissa earned vocal performance degrees from The Eastman School of Music and Lawrence University. A lover of both opera and musical theatre, some favorite roles include Mimi (La Bohème), Marianne (The New Moon), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Laurie (The Tender Land), Sarah Brown (Guys ‘n’ Dolls), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Susanna (Marriage of Figaro), and Bebe (A Chorus Line).  She has sung with Skylight Music Theatre, Sunset Playhouse, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Music by the Lake, Festival Arts of Antioch, Opera for the Young, the Lakeside Players, the Florentine Opera Chorus, the Belle Ensemble, and she made her debut with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre as Sophie in Masterclass.

You can catch her this summer singing with the Kenosha Pops Band and the Racine Concert Band. When not singing onstage, Ms. Cardamone is an accompanist and coach at Carthage College, and a music minister at St. Mary’s Church in Kenosha. Lots of love to Lilia and her two real-life Joes. Fortuna and Jason Powell forever!

Samantha Sostarich (Fortuna)

Samantha is delighted to be returning to the role of Fortuna! This summer she will be performing as Mehitabel in Shinbone Alley with Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. www.samanthasostarich.com

Favorite roles include Lady of the Lake in "Monty Python’s Spamalot" with Four Seasons Theatre, Lily St. Regis in "Annie" with Skylight Music Theatre, and Gretchen in "Boeing Boeing" with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. She has also worked with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, First Stage Children’s Theater, Children’s Theater of Madison, In Tandem Theatre, Music Theater Works, and Madison Repertory Theater.

Nathan Wesselowski (Headmaster)

Nathan has performed in Skylight Music Theatre's Rossini's opera "La Cenerentola," as Flora in "La
Traviata," Major Murgatroyd in "Patience," Gherardo in "Gianni Schicchi," Rudy in "The Christmas Schooner," and Yamadori in "Madame Butterfly." Nathan's work with Milwaukee Opera Theatre includes El Gorrion in "Maria De Buenos Aires," and The Boy in "26, An Opera Dance Fantasy."

Anna Van Nuland (Mandy)

Anna was the Second Witch in UWM's "Dido ad Aeneas," and Little Becky Two Shoes in UWM's production of "Urinetown – The Musical."

Lisa Morris (Candy)

Lisa returns to cast and the the terrible triumvirate of Schoolgirls for this run of "Fortuna!"

Dana Vetter (Sandy)

Soprano Dana Vetter is thrilled to be a schoolgirl in this production of Fortuna. When she’s not wearing her evil schoolgirl skirt, she is usually found teaching private voice and piano lessons in the Lake Country area. Recent performances include soprano soloist for Haydn Missa Cellensis and Schubert Mass in B-flat with MAMCCO, stage manager for Gruesome Playground Injuries with The Constructivists, Patty in The Glitter Girls at the Village Playhouse, and Spring cover in American Spring by Sam Mullooly. Plus an extra special place for Gertrude the good witch in Switch Witch at Sunset Playhouse, which had music by the one and only Jason Powell. Thanks to Milwaukee Metro Voices for putting on Fortuna again so I can be a part of it this time!

Donna Kummer (Music Dir./Keyboard)

Donne began her crime-fighting career with the premiere of Jason Powell’s "Fortuna the Time-Bender..." with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, and picks up the odd assassin’s contract on the side. She also serves as the Director of Music for Plymouth Church UCC in Milwaukee, conductor of the Wauwatosa Community Band and Plymouth Chorale, and director of the Schoolhouse Players in Waukesha County. She has served as a musical director, accompanist, or conductor (sometimes, all three!) for over 200 different productions with various professional, community, and school theatres in the Milwaukee area.
