Trefor Williams (Musical Director)

In 1998 Trefor moved to Milwaukee from Cymru (Wales), Europe. In 2006, with a like minded group of enthusiastic singers, he established Milwaukee Metropoiltan Voices, and having produced and directed over 30 shows for the company he continues as its Artistic Director. A frequently invited conductor and singer at many Welsh American events across the USA, he specializes in Welsh language music. Trefor runs his own successful voice studio teaching many accomplished young and adult singers. Trefor has worked as Musical Director at several churches in the area, as Chair of the music department at Milwaukee Montessori School and Musical Director of Festival City Brass.

 


Karen Schulteis (Lead Keyboard)

This is Karen’s 7th season as accompanist for the group. She has been involved with music from a very young age, playing organ for Mass at the age of ten. Currently the Director of Liturgy and Music at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Greenfield, she directs and accompanies five choirs. She previously taught piano at her home studio as well as at Milwaukee Montessori School. She has accompanied many Milwaukee area soloists and groups. In her spare time she enjoys reading, yoga, composing and spending time with her family.

 


Lou Cucunato (Keyboard)

Lou Cucunato is a versatile pianist comfortable in many formats. He has performed in national productions of Mama Mia, Hairspray, and Annie. Lou has also performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Pops Series, and synthesizer for the Milwaukee Ballet production of ‘Esmerelda’. An adjunct faculty member at UW-Milwaukee since 1999 where he currently teaches music and jazz theory, Lou is happy to be working with MMV once again. Lou frequently plays piano in many local Milwaukee restaurant and hotel venues.

 


Craig Gullicksen (Bass Guitar)

Craig has played bass guitar professionally since age 13, performing in North America and Europe. A public school music teacher from 1971-2007, he has also written computer music software for the Wenger corporation. Craig has an international reputation providing training & educational seminars for Apple Computers, Genesis, Chet Atkins, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, James Taylor, Neil Diamond, Van Halen, Hal Leonard Publishing. Craig has some 500 music arrangements and recordings to his name and has performed with MMV since 2012.

 


Scott Wenzel (Drums)

Scott Wenzel has been a staple of the Milwaukee music scene for over 40 years. He performs regularly with national acts who visit the area such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra Jr., Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Gladys Knight, and many others. He has taught at Cardinal Stritch University, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music as well as the University of Wisconsin Extension.
